History

Helmut Bogner has been working in airfreight operations for general cargo since 1976 and in the early 80’s he started to coordinate and handle live animal shipments.
A wide experience in international and domestic live animal transportstion lead Helmut to found his own specialized company in 2004 called “Animals First”.

In early 2007 both of Helmut’s sons, Thomas and Michael participated at the IATA Live Animal Regulations Training in Frankfurt/Germany and started to work for Animals First. We are a family run business that exclusively focuses on the safe and comfortable transportation of live animals by air.

Animals First is THE Austrian specialist and is proud to be the one and only company with IATA approved training as per the IATA Live Animal Regulations, as well as the only member of IPATA, International Pet and Animal Transportation Association.
